Dauphin's CountryfestMusic fans attending Dauphin’s Countryfest next weekend will have access to cell phone charging stations and increased wireless service.

MTS has installed the amenities, including a temporary cellular tower, to boost coverage around the site for concert-goers using their phones. Devices running out of juice will be able to be charged (up to 100 per hour) for free.

“Countryfest fans will be able to stay plugged-in and share the festival experience with their friends and family,” said Eric Irwin, president of Dauphin’s Countryfest. “Not only will festival goers be able to call, text and surf the Internet on their devices, they’ll also be able to take pictures with a customized Countryfest photo frame and share it on social media sites with the Countryfest mobile app.”

This year’s Countryfest is June 27-30.
