Residents living in Portage la Prairie now have access to a faster cell phone network with MTS.
The telecommunications provider has completed its 4G LTE wireless network expansion to the city west of Winnipeg, the third of six Manitoban communities that will receive the upgraded service in 2013. LTE-enabled devices are now capable of achieving faster download and upload speeds at no additional cost to the user.
Earlier this week, Rogers customers finally saw access to LTE Max in Winnipeg and Brandon thanks to a partnership agreement in place with MTS to share cellular towers.
