The Town of Stonewall has taken its mobile app one step further by releasing a version for Android smartphones.
Stonewall was the first town in Canada to launch their own community iPhone app three months, which has increase traffic to their website by 37%.
Through the app, residents can access local news, events, maps, and a complete business directory.
“The way people communicate has changed in recent years,” said Stonewall CAO Robert Potter. “Local governments can no longer expect people to log on to their computers to get local information. Especially when they can now access local information from their smart phones at anytime and from any location.”
The app can be downloaded for free at Stonewall.ca.
