Looking to not repeat the traffic snafu experienced last week getting to Investors Group Field, promoters of Saturday’s Taylor Swift concert have a plan to ease the congestion getting to and from the University of Manitoba campus.

Swift takes the stage at 8:30 p.m., with opener Joel Crouse beginning at 6:30 p.m., followed by Austin Mahone (6:50 p.m.) and Ed Sheeran (7:25 p.m.) Fans can begin arriving on campus by 2 p.m. and make use of 5,000 paid parking spots for $20 per vehicle.

Parking passes can be purchased via Ticketmaster or on a first-come, first-served basis when arriving.

Those wanting to drop off friends or family to the concert, enter on Chancellor Matheson and stay in the far left lane to ensure you bypass anyone wanting to park. A smaller drop-off zone will be available off University Crescent in the Q lot. Stay in the left lane again to access the site.

Winnipeg Transit will begin running buses at 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Rides are free with a concert ticket. The University Super Express (route 161) will run to Investors Group Field via the SW rapid transit corridor.

The running back shuttle, park and rides, and boosters will also be in effect, taking concert-goers to and from the stadium once they park their vehicles.

The concert is expected to wrap up by 10:30 p.m. To see complete parking details for Saturday, visit InvestorsGroupField.ca/concerts.
