A group of Winnipeg police Cadets will connect with inner-city kids today with a game of dodgeball and other activities.

The Cadets will join youth at Youth for Christ, 333 King Street, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. as part of their latest community outreach efforts.

Other activities include a 50-foot indoor rock climbing wall, various sports including basketball, floor hockey and the main event being dodgeball.

“This event is an opportunity to encourage youth to visit an incredible new facility and enjoy an evening of games and prizes, including food. The event will also provide opportunities for youth to sign up for various programs offered by Youth for Christ,” police said in a release.

Members of the public are invited to attend.
