A new shuttle service at The Forks will help visitors get around this summer.

The Forks Lift will provide free rides from parking lots on site to the east side of the Esplanade Riel, including drop off service in front of the new Chez Sophie restaurant and at the Tourisme Riel Information booth at the tram on the east plaza of the Esplanade.

“The Forks is a big site and whether you’re looking to get from the market to your car, the Esplanade to the Children’s Museum, The Forks to Saint Boniface or vice-versa, it’s nice to be able to catch a ride,” said Paul Jordan, chief operating officer of The Forks.

The free service is a partnership with Tourisme Riel and will operate seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. beginning Saturday, June 29 until August 31. There are no designated marked stops on site, but drivers will keep a keen eye open for anyone looking for a ride.
