An overdue Bell 206 helicopter has crashed near Gillam, Manitoba.
The chopper was reported as being overdue around midnight on Tuesday, triggering a search of the area by a Royal Canadian Air Force CC-130 from 17 Wing Winnipeg.
RCMP say shortly before noon today, the crash site was located in a remote area about 50 kilometres west of Gillam at Gull Lake.
Attempts are being made to access the location. The helicopter was carrying only the pilot at the time.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has also been dispatched to investigate.
