Canadian rockers Streetheart are hitting the stage this Friday at Assiniboine Park.
Part of the Red River Co-op Summer Entertainment Series, the band will perform for free at 7 p.m. on the Lyric Theatre.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to have Streetheart performing at the Lyric as a part of our summer series,” said Trevor Clearwater, Assiniboine Park Conservancy’s director of park services. “This band has a huge fan base and we can’t wait to see the Lyric lawn packed with fans to enjoy the concert.”
The Winnipeg-based band is led by singer Kenny Shields.
Other acts this summer include Doc Walker on July 11, Jazz in the Leo Mol Sculpture Garden and the return of Movies in the Park on Friday nights in August.
