A single-vehicle crash just south of Thompson killed two teens early Saturday on Highway 6.
RCMP say six people were travelling south in a 2008 Chevrolet Impala around 6:30 a.m. when it left the roadway and rolled at least once.
The two deceased were a 15-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy. Four other people were taken to hospital with serious undetermined injuries. All occupants were from Thompson.
Speed and seat belt use are considered factors, RCMP say. The investigation into the crash is continuing.
UPDATE: Friday, July 12 — A 24-year-old Thompson man has since succumbed to his injuries in a Winnipeg hospital on July 11. His name isn’t being released.
