Ground was broken Monday on the Canadian Mennonite University’s new library, learning commons and pedestrian bridge.
Fundraising for the $13.9 million project is well underway through the CONNECT campaign, which has already generated $10 million.
The new library and learning commons will provide students and faculty space to study, collaborate, and research together. The facility will also include a café and conservation corner, where events such as book launches, readings, and stand-up receptions will be held.
The adjacent bridge will connect the north and south campus areas currently separated by Grant Avenue.
