A new pedestrian-friendly housing development is planned for the Corydon area neighbourhood.

The 125 contemporary units will focus on complementing the mature urban setting while featuring convenience with shopping, schools, parks and restaurants.

An official announcement on the development will be made on Jessie Avenue Wednesday morning.

“The announcement of these creative and contemporary infill homes will enhance Corydon’s status as one of Winnipeg’s most vibrant and exciting neighbourhoods,” said Craig Kitching, president of the Corydon Avenue Business Improvement Zone. “This also signals that this neighbourhood is able to evolve to meet the changing needs of its citizens in a post urban sprawl environment.”

The project will be managed by Studio Walter/Walter International and be developed over the next 18 months.

Condominiums will range from $289,000 to $759,000, while completed units at 670 and 668 Jessie Avenue are already on the market.
