Manitoba Musical Acts Rock in the ‘Loft Sessions’

July 10, 2013 8:39 AM | Entertainment

A group of 11 Manitoba bands have come together for a video series called the Loft Sessions.

The series features a diverse line up, including Juno Award-winning soul/pop outfit Chic Gamine, Royal Canoe, JP Hoe, Don Amero, The Treble, The JD Edwards Band, Boats, Les Jupes, Federal Lights, Mise en Scene, and Haunter.

Directed by Chris Gaudry, the videos include a series of live performances recorded above Manitoba Music’s Donald Street offices.

“We wanted a new way to capture and showcase the talent, passion, and energy of our artists,” said Sara Stasiuk, Manitoba Music’s executive director. “Each of these artists is building significant buzz and these videos are another tool to help them promote their work in new markets.”

The videos will be released on ManitobaMusic.com every Tuesday throughout the summer. Watch the first released video from the JD Edwards Band above.
