Red River Co-op SpeedwayRed River Co-op Speedway will be invaded by the World of Outlaw Late Models tonight.

The speedway just south of Winnipeg off Highway 75 will have a $50,000 purse up for grabs when the flag is waved at 7:30 p.m.

“The Outlaws joined us in 2012 and put on one heck of a show. We are thrilled to again be hosting the best of the best in late model racing,” said race track promoter Blair Bodley. “We have racers coming from as far as Texas and North Carolina.”

Many Late Model teams have two vehicles in their fleet worth around $70,000 each.

Two Winnipeg drivers, two-time National Wissota Champion Ricky Weiss and 2012 Red River Co-op Speedway champion Mike Balcaen, will be in attendance and have home track advantage.

Tickets are $25 per person in advance at Red River Co-op gas bars or $30 at the gate. Children are $10.
