Motorcyclist Killed After Losing Control, Striking Tree

Winnipeg Police CrestA 43-year-old man was killed in south Winnipeg Saturday afternoon and being ejected off his motorcycle.

The accident happened at around 2:30 p.m. in the area of Columbia Drive and Marygrove Crescent.

Police say the man was travelling southbound on Columbia Drive at a high rate of speed when he lost control. He was thrown from his bike and hit a tree on the westside boulevard.

Bystanders rushed to the man’s aid before he was transported to hospital where he later died.

The investigation is continuing.
