The Winnipeg Goldeyes traded veteran outfielder Mike Coles to the Lincoln Saltdogs over the weekend in exchange for future considerations and signed infielder Kevin Moesquit to a contract.
Moesquit, 22, played three seasons in the Los Angeles Angels system after being selected by the Angels in the 17th round of the 2010 MLB amateur draft. In 49 games with Single-A Burlington of the Midwest League, he hit .235 with 13 RBI and five stolen bases.
Coles, 30, hit .240 with seven RBI and nine stolen bases in 19 games with the Goldeyes this season.
The Fish begin the first of three games tonight against the Trois Rivieres Aigles before meeting the Rockland Boulders for a three-game set beginning Thursday.
