Dry Bones (HANDOUT)
The Winnipeg Folk Festival just ended, but that doesn’t mean you have to wait another year to get your folk fix.
Local trio Dry Bones is teaming up with Miss Rae and the Midnight Ramblers to host an old fashioned folk music party at the West End Cultural Centre on Wednesday, August 7.
JD Edwards, Leonard Podolak, and Nathan Rogers have their own successful music careers, but will assemble on stage next month to perform for fans of their genre. Edwards and Rogers are fresh off of their Folk Festival performances just last week.
Miss Rae will explore her Métis and African heritage by electrifying delta blues, with a dash of roots and old jazz.
Tickets are $20 at the door or $15 in advance through the WECC, Ticketmaster, Winnipeg Folk Festival Music Store and Music Trader.
