Children aged 10 to 12 years are getting real world business experience this week through New Venture Adventure Camp.
The annual camp put on by the Stu Clark Centre for Entrepreneurship at the University of Manitoba will teach kids how to develop and present a business plan, learn about teamwork, basic sales techniques, marketing and break-even analysis.
The highlight of the week will be a sales competition where campers will sell products they make while at camp, such as greeting cards, jewellery, and picture frames.
“Vendor’s of New Venture Adventure” be held Thursday, July 18 at The Forks from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The camp wraps up on Friday.
