Someone counting on having a freshly-made pizza delivered to their door was disappointed early Wednesday morning when it didn’t show up.
That’s when Winnipeg police say a pizza delivery driver in the 300 block of Tweed Avenue was robbed of his order.
The pizza poaching happened at around 12:30 a.m. when the 29-year-old male driver was approached by two men. One of the men produced a weapon, took the pizza and then fled on foot with his accomplice.
The driver wasn’t injured.
The suspects are described as two black men between the ages of 25-30 and about 5’10”-6′ tall. One had a muscular build, while the other had a thin build.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police at (204) 986-2857 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
