After temporarily halting mosquito fogging while the skeeter population dropped, the City of Winnipeg is firing the fogging trucks back up.
Crews will be out tonight beginning at 9:30 p.m. to fog in 14 different Insect Management Areas, weather permitting, due to an increase in nuisance mosquito activity.
Areas being targeted include 14, 18, 21, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 34, 36, 38 and 50.
The city will continue fogging daily from 9:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. until further notice. The public will be notified at least eight hours before fogging occurs.
Residents who wish to apply for a buffer zone can do so by contacting the city by writing to 3 Grey Street, R2L 1V2, e-mailing 311@winnipeg.ca or in-person at 1539 Waverley Street.
