Super-Spike 2013A record amount of teams are registered for this weekend’s MTS Super-Spike volleyball tournament.

Running today until Sunday, 431 teams will hit the sand at Maple Grove Rugby Park for three fun-filled days of game play, live bands, and to fundraise for Canada’s national women’s volleyball team.

Moses Mayes will headline the main stage tonight, followed by Buckcherry on Saturday.

Tournament registration is now closed, but weekend-long concert and festival passes for non-tournament participants are still available at SuperSpike.ca for $25.

Organizers are also reminding the public to arrive early to the park and ride location at Fort Richmond Plaza (2860 Pembina Highway) tonight with the potential for traffic delays due to the Winnipeg Blue Bomber game.
