Jets Open 2013-14 Season Oct. 1 on the Road

Winnipeg Jets LogoThe Winnipeg Jets will play the Edmonton Oilers to begin their 2013-14 season on Tuesday, October 1.

The Jets full 82-game season schedule was released Friday, which has the team playing their first home game at MTS Centre on Friday, October 4 against the Los Angeles Kings and the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday, October 6.

Seven all-Canadian match-ups are also scheduled, as the Jets host the Montreal Canadiens on October 15, the Calgary Flames on November 18, the Edmonton Oilers on January 18, the Toronto Maple Leafs on January 25, the Vancouver Canucks on both January 31 and March 12 and the Ottawa Senators on March 8.

The popular New Year’s Eve game will see the Jets host the Buffalo Sabres on December 31 (6 p.m.).

The longest homestand for the team will come at the beginning of the season, when the Jets play the Dallas Stars on October 11 and end with the Washington Capitals on October 22 to wrap-up a six-game series.

Television broadcast schedules have yet to be released.
