Two women have been charged after allegedly assaulting and robbing another woman of her liquor over the weekend.
Winnipeg police were flagged down while on patrol in the 1000 block of Main Street Saturday evening.
Police say a 26-year-old woman was standing outside a business with a quantity of liquor she had just purchased when she was confronted by two women. One of the women asked for a cigarette, while the second woman allegedly assaulted her. The suspects are then reported to have taken off with the woman’s liquor.
The suspects were located shortly later in the area of Main Street and Selkirk Avenue and arrested.
Tia Hudson, 18, and Maxine Carpenter, 28, have been charged with robbery and theft.
