Two Manitoba singer-songwriters have landed nominations at this year’s Indian Summer Music Awards (ISMA).

Don Amero and Desiree Dorion each picked up nods for songs off their latest albums. Amero landed two nods in the country category for “Young Forever” and “Turn These Grey Skies Blue” off his latest release, the Juno Award-nominated Heart On My Sleeve.

Dorion’s song “Mama Got a Shotgun” off her sophomore album, Small Town Stories, is also nominated in the country category. She’s up for an APCMA this year for best country CD.

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on September 7.
