One Sent to Hospital After Crash on Inkster

RCMP Crest LogoOne person was injured following a two-vehicle crash on Inkster Boulevard Tuesday morning.

RCMP say the crash between a pickup truck and garbage truck happened around 3:30 a.m. on Inkster just east of Sturgeon Road.

The eastbound pickup collided with the westbound garbage truck, sending both vehicles into the ditch. The driver of the garbage truck wasn’t injured, while the 31-year-old Gimli area man driving the pickup was taken to hospital in unstable condition.

Police continue to investigate the crash.

UPDATE: Wednesday, July 31 — The driver of the pickup remains in hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Thick fog was reported in the area at the time of the collision.
