The Winnipeg Goldeyes signed right-handed pitcher Matt Jackson on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 31st round of the 2009 MLB Amateur Draft and played five seasons in their system, reaching Triple-A in 2012.
Jackson is slated to start the second game of tonight’s doubleheader against the Lincoln Saltdogs.
