Spruce Woods Provincial Park Lower Campground Reopened

CampingSpruce Woods Provincial Park’s lower campground is once again open after being damaged by flooding in 2011.

Conservation Minister Gord Mackintosh said Kiche Manitou campground is once again open to the public and can be reserved online at the province’s parks reservation website.

A total of $20 million will be invested in this park over the next seven years, he noted. Almost $4 million will be invested in 2013 for shoreline erosion control, improvements to the main campground access road, new permanent washroom and shower facilities and landscaping.

The upper campground remains open.
