One of Canada’s most improvisational jazz drummers will perform at the West End Cultural Centre this fall.
Nick Fraser, who is renowned in Toronto’s new jazz scene, will be in Winnipeg on Wednesday, September 25.
Fraser has performed and recorded with a veritable “who’s who” of Canadian jazz and improvised music in addition to such international artists as Anthony Braxton, William Parker, Joe McPhee, Donny McCaslin, David Binney, and Marilyn Crispell.
The Nick Fraser Quartet features Tony Malaby, one of the world’s foremost jazz saxophonists.
Tickets to the show are $20 at the door or $15 in advance beginning today at the WECC, Ticketmaster, Winnipeg Folk Festival Music Store and Music Trader.
