August Long Weekend Roadwatch Program Stops 1,000 Vehicles

Manitoba Public InsuranceWinnipeg police said the August long weekend Roadwatch Program saw three drunk drivers taken off the streets.

Police said they stopped a total of 1,017 vehicles and resulted in 30 tickets, three drunk driving arrests, five alcohol screening device readings of ‘Warn’ and one person arrested for driving while suspended.

The RoadWatch Program, which is run in partnership with Manitoba Public Insurance, will continue throughout the cummer.
