An RCMP officer has been suspended with pay after he and his spouse accused each other of assault.
RCMP from the East District were called to the home of an RCMP officer for a domestic assault call. Once they arrived, both the officer and his wife claimed the other had assaulted them. Neither appeared injured or needed medical attention.
Both the officer and his spouse have since been formally charged with assault and will head to court. Names and locations are being withheld.
