RCMP Crest LogoA father and son were killed in a two-vehicle crash Thursday evening near Morden.

Manitoba RCMP say a 16-year-old boy was driving a car on Highway 14 near Boundary Trail Hospital when it was rear-ended by a westbound pickup truck. The teen and his 42-year-old father — both from Yorkton, Saskatchewan — were pronounced deceased at the scene. A third passenger — a 67-year-old Winkler man and the teen’s grandfather — was taken to a Winnipeg hospital in stable condition.

The 21-year-old Morden woman driving the pickup was taken to hospital in stable condition.

Police are continuing to investigate the crash and say alcohol is not considered a factor.
