Man Killed After Truck Hits Tree, Catches Fire

RCMP Crest LogoA 47-year-old man from the RM of Reynolds was killed on Saturday after his vehicle lost control, hit a tree and caught fire.

RCMP say the crash happened at about 8 p.m. on Julius Road about three kilometres south of Highway 44 in the RM of Reynolds.

Emergency crews arrived on scene to find the man’s pickup truck in flames in the ditch. The deceased, whose name isn’t being released, was found in the vehicle.

Police say the truck lost control on a curve in the roadway.

The investigation is continuing.
