Youth enrolled in the University of Manitoba’s second New Venture Adventure Camp of the season will get to sell their wares on Thursday.
The week-long camp, put on by the Stu Clark Centre for Entrepreneurship, has been teaching a group of 20 eager female students aged 14-16 all about teamwork, basic sales techniques, marketing and break-even analysis.
The students from the Winnipeg Aboriginal Sport Achievement Centre will compete in the “Vendor’s of New Venture Adventure” sales competition from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at The Forks.
The campers are selling products they made while at camp, such as greeting cards, jewellery, and picture frames.
