Students in Venture Camp Selling Wares at The Forks

University of ManitobaYouth enrolled in the University of Manitoba’s second New Venture Adventure Camp of the season will get to sell their wares on Thursday.

The week-long camp, put on by the Stu Clark Centre for Entrepreneurship, has been teaching a group of 20 eager female students aged 14-16 all about teamwork, basic sales techniques, marketing and break-even analysis.

The students from the Winnipeg Aboriginal Sport Achievement Centre will compete in the “Vendor’s of New Venture Adventure” sales competition from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at The Forks.

The campers are selling products they made while at camp, such as greeting cards, jewellery, and picture frames.
