Organizers of this year’s Manitoba Filipino Street Festival are planning a rally on Saturday to draw attention to the event next weekend.
Filipino culture will be on display August 24 with street dancers, marchers, and other entertainment in the parking lot of Sears in Garden City.
The annual event has gathered the largest number of Filipino participants from Winnipeg and surrounding areas.
A promotional rally to raise awareness of the coming festival is set for August 17 from 9 a.m. to noon at the corner of Leila Avenue and McPhillips Street.
