Construction will begin Monday on northbound I-19 at the Pembina, North Dakota border crossing.
State officials say work will consist of adding an additional northbound driving lane at the crossing.
During the work phase, traffic will be reduced to one lane, speeds will be reduced, and a width restriction of 15 feet will be in place.
Flaggers may be present during certain construction activities. Work is scheduled to be complete in October.
