A soccer windup for inner-city youth who participated in a soccer camp over the summer is being held today.
The Inner-City Soccer Program is coming to an end after 160 boys and girls had the opportunity to play soccer in a safe and fun environment between May and August.
The kids were guided under the supervision of the Spence Neighbourhood Association, University of Winnipeg and Youth Agencies Alliance.
The program provided all equipment, registration and coaching at no cost to participants. Participating organizations include Spence Neighbourhood Association, West Broadway Youth Outreach, Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization of Manitoba, Boys and Girls Clubs of Winnipeg and Elmwood Community Resource Centre.
The windup events today and Thursday will celebrate a great season of soccer with games and skills tests as well as music and food.
