A fairly new music festival will be welcomed in the community of Anola, Manitoba this weekend.
The Anola Little Music Festival (ALMF) is August 23-24 and has homegrown singer-songwriter Don Amero on board as artistic director.
“We always thought it would be fun to do our own Folk Fest style fest and feature the best local talent. We really wanted it to be a Manitoba artist showcase and support the many incredible local artists,” Amero said.
An extra evening of music this year will run Friday at 8 p.m., with additional performances Saturday at 1 p.m.
“I think most people will be pleasantly surprised when they walk into the ALMF and see a very comfortable, clean, family friendly fest and really a top notch line up. Last year was our first year and everyone was blown away by what the ALMF team put together and I promise, we have taken it to the next level this year.”
Tickets are $15 for Friday, $30 for Saturday or $45 for a weekend pass. Patrons can bring food/snacks on site, with non-alcoholic beverages for sale on the festival grounds.

Anola is 40 kilometres east of Winnipeg off Dugald Road.
