‘Bannatyne Carnaval’ to Heat Up the Exchange

Bannatyne CarnavalThe second annual Bannatyne Carnaval will fill the Exchange District this weekend between Rorie Street and Waterfront Drive.

Made up of South American flair, area restaurants will line the street to offer guests an array of food options, including Hermanos Restaurant & Wine Bar, Corrientes Argentine Pizzeria and Carnaval Brazilian BBQ. Food trucks will be set up in the festival, as well as a charcoal BBQ.

Guests will also be treated to Brazilian/Caribbean style music, samba performances and zumba classes, with performances from local musicians.

Entry to the event, running August 23-24, is free. Live music begins on Friday at 7 p.m. and on Saturday at 2 p.m. Festivities will continue until 11 p.m. on both nights.
