Outdoor summertime movies are coming to an end tonight as Assiniboine Park screens its last two features.

Movie-goers to Movies in the Park can take in “Epic” at 7 p.m. and “Life of Pi” at 9:15 p.m. — both showing at the Lyric Theatre on a 27-foot-wide outdoor screen.

“This year has been an amazing run and we think this may be the best evening yet,” said Laura Curtis of the Assiniboine Park Conservancy. “We were incredibly lucky to get such a new release with Epic and Life of Pi is going to be stunning on our outdoor screen — it’s going to be a great night.”

More than 24,000 people have enjoyed the free screenings this summer.
