Lunches with LoveA Winnipeg teen delivered paper bagged lunches to the city’s less fortunate today with the backing from Coca-Cola.

Nathan Unrau, 13, is the founder of Lunches with Love, an organization he started to help feed members of Winnipeg’s homeless community. Unrau and his team of volunteers have been making homemade lunches for the past year and delivering them to areas of the city most in need.

The teen brought over 2,000 lunches to area shelters earlier today, including to Siloam Mission. The program got a boost from Coca-Cola’s Open Happiness Project, which provided the resources to put together large quantities of the food.

Lunches with Love provides paper bag lunches every second Saturday to local shelters. To get involved, visit Facebook.com/LunchesWithLoveWinnipeg or e-mail LunchesWithLove@shaw.ca.
