Runners will hit the pavement on Labour Day to support the Canadian Diabetes Association in the annual Freedom Run for Diabetes Research.
Taking place on Monday, September 2, the 3K and 10K walk/run will begin at the Assiniboine Park Duck Pond beginning at 8 a.m.
Funds raised from participant’s pledges will be used to support Canada’s scientists and clinicians in their quest for innovative developments in the prevention, treatment and management of diabetes. Although the research is diverse in its scope, the key aspects remain the same — to improve the quality of life of people living with diabetes and to find a cure.
Registration is still open by visiting RunningRoom.com.
