Winnipeg Police CrestWinnipeg police say a fire at The Real Canadian Superstore in St. James on August 23 has been attributed to arson.

The fire started in the children’s toy department of the Sargent Avenue store, causing $600,000 in damage. The store was closed for the rest of the day following the fire, which began at 9:30 a.m. The adjoining fitness facility was also closed so the building could be ventilated.

Anyone with information on the fire is asked to contact police at (204) 986-6813 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
