Steinbach RCMP stumbled across a marijuana grow-op in a hidden room of a house over the weekend as the result of a traffic stop.
Police pulled over a vehicle on September 1 and noticed a number of suspicious items inside, which led them to a home on Main Street to speak with the vehicle’s registered owner.
Officers detected a strong odour of marijuana coming from the house and arrested the homeowner.
Once inside, police found 120 marijuana plants in a hidden room, along with other growing equipment.
A 35-year-old Steinbach man is facing drug-related charges and will appear in court on November 7.
