University of Manitoba student-athletes will be cheered on by 6,000 of their peers today during a pep rally at Investors Group Field.

Part of Orientation 2013, 400 uniformed Bisons athletes will enter the new stadium at 2:30 p.m.

“This is going to be the largest pep rally the University of Manitoba has ever held,” said Brendan Hughes, director of student life at the U of M. “The energy is going to be incredible.”

Community members are welcome to join in the fun and cheer on their Bison athletes during the roughly one-hour event.
