Death of Two People in Wolseley Home Ruled Homicide

Winnipeg Police CrestTwo people were found dead in a Wolseley area residence Wednesday in what Winnipeg police are calling suspicious deaths.

Police were called to a suite in the 200 block of Chestnut Street just before 8 a.m. for what was first described as a medical-related incident.

The homicide unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the two deaths and information is minimal.

The genders and ages of the deceased haven’t been released. Police are conducting interviews and say no further details will be released today.

UPDATE: Thursday, September 5 — The deceased have been identified as Unice Ophelia Crow, 19, and Trevor James Sinclair, 31.

The cause of death is pending the results of autopsies and toxicology reports. Police say family members last had contact with the couple on August 29.

UPDATE: Friday, September 6 — Police say the deaths are being treated at homicides, and not a murder-suicide as some reports suggest.
