The third annual Kidney Ride, Glide, Stride event in support of the Kidney Foundation of Canada will be the centre of attention at St. Vital Park on Sunday.
About 300 people will gather to cycle (ride), rollerblade (glide), and walk or run (stride) to support programs and services for more than 4,000 Manitobans currently affected by kidney disease.
Kidney patients, health care workers, caregivers, family, and friends and many volunteers will be in attendance.
Through pledges gathered by the participants, nearly $36,000 has been raised online.
The course opens at 10 a.m. rain or shine.
