Five Charged After Marijuana, Cash Seized in Nelson House

Five people remain in police custody after RCMP seized marijuana and cash over the weekend on Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation (Nelson House).

RCMP executed a search warrant on a home Saturday, where they found bagged marijuana, including 44 marijuana joints, drug paraphernalia and about $10,000 cash.

Gabriel Wayne Bonner, 44, Virginia Nancy Linklater, 40, Tonya Eleta Tabobondung, 36, Grace Moose, 24, and Elsie Hariot Moose, 19, all from Nelson House, remain in custody pending a court appearance in Thompson on Tuesday.

They face several charges, including possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime.
