A much larger Liquor Mart has replaced its former location a few hundred yards away in south Winnipeg.

Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries cut the ribbon Tuesday on the 10,400-square-foot store at the corner of Pembina Highway and Kirkbridge Drive.

“It is a hectic world we live in, and one of the things we hear most from Manitobans is that they are looking for convenience,” said Jim Rondeau, Minister responsible for the Liquor Control Act. “Without a doubt, the newly re-located Fort Richmond Liquor Mart offers those living in south Winnipeg not only added convenience, but the highest level of customer service and socially responsible standards.”

The free-standing building replaces the old location in the same strip mall at 2851 Pembina Highway, but offers additional space for approximately 2,450 product listings under one roof.
