Impaired Driver Charged in Portage la Prairie Crash

RCMP Crest LogoA 24-year-old Portage la Prairie woman is facing charges after a two-vehicle crash sent another driver to hospital.

The crash on September 9 occurred when the woman’s eastbound 2005 Ford Mustang failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a northbound 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier. The driver of the Cavalier was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

RCMP have charged the driver of the Mustang with impaired driving, failing to stop at a stop sign and driving carelessly.

Police continue to investigate.
