Students at the University of Manitoba are shining shoes in exchange for a donation today.
The annual Shinerama campaign is raising money for cystic fibrosis research and has already generated $22,000 this year from various community events.
Volunteer shiners will be spread out between the downtown and Fort Garry campuses with the goal of raising $50,000.
If you can’t make it down, or don’t own a pair of shiny shoes, you can make a donation online.
Shine Day teams will also be throughout the city’s downtown during the day.
