A two-vehicle crash between an SUV and semi truck in the RM of Ste. Anne sent an Edmonton man to hospital in critical condition on Wednesday.
RCMP say the semi was travelling southbound on Highway 12 at around 10:30 p.m. when a GMC Envoy heading east on Highway 210 pulled out in front of the truck. The semi collided with the Envoy, causing extensive damage to the driver’s side.
The 68-year-old Edmonton man driving the SUV was taken to a local hospital and later airlifted to Winnipeg. The 41-year-old Winnipeg man driving the semi wasn’t injured.
RCMP believe alcohol to be a factor in the crash and continue to investigate.
